Free Music: Florrie

A girl who can play drums, sing, & mix her own music is a girl deserving of some attention. Add natural beauty that is equally matched with selfless generosity and you have a girl worth crushing on. UK artist Florrie is a young musician building her fan base by making all her music free to download, share, & remix. The tracks on her Introduction EP combine many elements all seemingly opposite; human yet robotic, energetic but soothing, heavy yet sleek. And so the theory is: Opposites Attract. Florrie is one gifted female who not only proves that but she also shares her ability to find the chemistry that balances these opposing attractions. Visit her website for personal fun facts, free downloads, & more. -Lethal

Killer Album: Dead Man's Bones

The first album released by Dead Man's Bones is self-titled and features The Silverlake Conservatory of Music Children's Choir in each of it's 12 tracks. If that alone doesn't convince you that this band is truly unique then maybe the recurring theme of zombies, ghosts, graveyards, & werewolves (both aurally & visually) will spark your interest. The story is that band members, Ryan Gosling & Zach Shields, crossed paths by default & began spending time together initially out of obligation more than anything else. This time together brought about the realization that both shared a fascination for death & the supernatural. The album itself, released in October of 2009, was the unexpected product of what started out as an idea for a theatrical love story centered around monsters and ghosts. Inspirations for the record were drawn from talented artists such as The Shangri-Las, The Cure, & The Misfits. This is quickly becoming one of my current obsessions.  -Ash_Lethal

New Music: Threefifty Duo

Threefifty Duo is proudly bringing music back to its classical roots being portrayed as a "classical guitar duo with a rock edge". These two exceptionally talented guys from Brooklyn, New York captivated me with their gentle instrumental and rhythmic melodies. If you want a taste of something different most certainly check out their EPK

I chose this video because it's simply incredible.
Enjoy! ♥ Mekilla

"Free For All Friday" with The Guggenheim Grotto

Our favorite day of the week is upon us once again and we are excited to present the next free download from the Dublin duo known as The Guggenheim Grotto. These Irish men have charmed their way onto our blog with Her Beautiful Ideas and the captivating video which artfully illustrates the song. When first listening to this we thought of bands like Wheat, The Swell Season, and Freelance Whales. The latest album Happy The Man features this hit as well as eleven others. Our suggestion is to start this weekend off right; let's get naked and get under the sheets.
